It’s been two months since Microsoft officially stopped supporting Windows XP. It’s a good time to assess StormShield and Extended XP progress in protecting from Windows XP flaws.

Since the 8th of April, 85 new vulnerabilities related to Windows XP and third party software have been identified by the StormShield and Extended XP monitoring teams: 37% hit Oracle Java, 20% Google Chrome and 14% Mozilla Firefox.

93% of the 85 vulnerabilities were blocked : within that batch, 100% of the vulnerabilities exploited to take control of the workstation were successfully stopped by StormShield and ExtendedXP. The last couple of months’ statistics are proof enough of the reliability of the trusted solutions developed by Arkoon+Netasq.
